Welcome to the Lothian and Edinburgh Amateur F.A. Website |
| The Association was formed in 1998 with the amalgamation of the Lothian Amateur F.A. and the Edinburgh Amateur F.A. The Association maintains a policy of affording everyone in the Edinburgh and Lothians the opportunity to play in organised competition at their own level. It is one of the largest Associations in Scotland having over 70 member clubs and since the merger has been able to boast of having the Scottish Amateur Cup winners and the East of Scotland Cup winners.
The Lothian & Edinburgh AFA upholds the objects of amateur football to promote, foster and develop the game of Association football by offering both new and established clubs and their players the platform to perform at a level which suits them. The Association currently operates 7 divisions and the set up allows ambitious clubs to reach the top division in 2 seasons.
For Season 2008/09 the Association welcomed 6 new clubs which demonstrates the popularity of the Association and it is our hope that all our clubs and players enjoy their football whether or not they are successful.
Due to an increase in the number of clubs the Association is seeking to increase its list of referees. Any official interested in offering his/her services to this rapidly growing Association should contact Charles Gallagher on 01506 654974.

Players' Registration Forms |
|
|
Following the Summer break, I would expect that most of our clubs will now, or shortly will, be back in pre-season training etc.
Could I ask clubs to submit Players Registration Forms to the Registration Secretary Jimmy Conner as soon as possible rather than leaving it until the last few days before the season starts (as is the norm) which leaves Jimmy an enormous task to get these processed in a short space of time - it can only benefit your club in case there is a problem with the registration which needs to be clarified before the season starts
Even if you do not have your full squad signed send in what you have leaving the rest to be submitted later.
The Registration Form can now be downloaded from the website - look under the Document heading on the menu at the left hand side and then under Association Documents.
